Ku-Tsung: [SS] Ah, Ku-Embra... Who could have guessed our great careers could have come to this... At least no one but us will ever know about the treasure we hid in Kaocho...
Ku-Embra: [SS] Oh, Ku-Tsung... What a terrible end for us, but at least no one will ever locate our treasure. What a great hiding place...in that cracked stone three steps to the left of the Kaocho Palace stairs...

Ayuthay Guard 1: How did you ever make it back to Ayuthay with all those monsters prowling outside?!
Ayuthay Guard 1: [SS] These warriors are brave as brave gets, traveling among the monsters out there!

Ayuthay Guard 2: Who...who are you? Sorry, I'm still shocked at what's happened. First, the occupation. And now this...
Ayuthay Guard 2: [SS] I shudder to even remember the sounds we heard when the disaster first happened...

A10: Remember the generals you defeated?
Matthew: [Yes]
A10: We were keeping them locked up, but when the eclipse came, we felt that we had to let them free. I think they actually tried to rally their army against us again... when the monsters came.

A10: No? Well, Ku-Tsung and Ku-Embra were Kaocho's top generals. And they didn't give up until...the end.
A10: [SS] Maybe it was a bad idea to free the Kaocho generals. They met a grim fate outside.

A11: We can't let our guard down for even one second. Or else the monsters may get through.
A11: [SS] King Paithos said that the monsters would not come here. But we'll keep protecting it, just in case.

A12: It's so hard to stay shut away like this with nothing to do.
A12: [SS] It's hard to keep these fellows calm. They're used to working all day long.

A13: They told us to stop our work. I suppose there's no point in cutting stone at a time like this.
A13: [SS] I've spent most all my years pounding away at stone, trying to help Ayuthay prosper. And now I have to stop?

Matthew: [Yes]
A14: Well, it baffles me why Sol and Luna should have such a falling out that monsters show up!

A14: What a world! Even the greatest warriors I know don't have an explanation for this chaos!
A14: [SS] This monumental event should be recorded in stone so that future generations learn of this evil eclipse.

A15: I need to stay busy to take my mind off what's happening. But we can't work right now.
A15: [SS] I should get some sleep, since I don't have to work. But I'm not tired, since I can't work. What a dilemma.

A16: I can't bear the thought that everything we've built up may just come tumbling down...
A16: [SS] We can't keep going on like this. We just CAN'T.

A05: [SS] Weren't these the guys hiking all the way over the Khiren Mountains? And they're back already?!

Ayuthay Minister 1: The Insight Glass was sure to be useful. Given that your journey isn't over, I'm sure it will still prove its worth.

Ayuthay Minister 1: No, I can't believe it! Surely, you're having a joke at my expense!
Ayuthay Minister 1: [SS] Our greatest secret is that Ayuthay hid the Insight Glass- so secret, that I've never known what it actually is!

A17: With the world the way it is, you'll be leaving soon to save it. And taking our Amiti again too...
A17: [SS] I heard that Amiti has turned out to be a fierce warrior! I'm so proud!

Ayuthay Minister 2: I always thought the Grave Eclipse was merely a legend. Fortunately, our Alchemy Well area is a great shelter. But Ayuthay can't keep going like this.
Ayuthay Minister 2: [SS] We must be ready for the possibility that the monsters may find their way inside.

A25: Those two Kaocho generals were on the loose when the eclipse happened. I wonder what happened to them.
A25: [SS] I was never a fan of general Ku-Embra or Ku-Tsung, but I bet they fought valiantly when the end came.

Ayuthay Armor Seller: [SS] People all over the kingdom talk about some big treasure being stashed here. What I wouldn't do to get that treasure for myself!

Ayuthay Weapon Seller: [SS] We descendants of the Exathi have endured years of hardship, unlike the Fori.

Ayuthay Item Seller: [SS] Our defenses have been a lifesaver. It makes getting fresh goods tough, but at least I can sell what I have!

Ayuthay Healer: [SS] Things are bleak now that the world has been plunged into darkness. What else can you do in such times but pray to the heavens for mercy!

Ayuthay Innkeeper: [SS] As long as the king lets everyone stay here for free, my inn's not going to do a lot of business...

A02: [SS] There's a lesson to be learned in the old stories of the Grave Eclipse. Hopefully someone learns it.

Amiti: Uncle, no! I cannot stay! We have important things left to do! And I...may not survive what is to come!
Paithos: Then I cannot go. Not until you return to me safely, Amiti.
Amiti: Then hold on, Uncle. We'll be back, I promise you.
Paithos: I'm relying on you, Matthew. Keep Amiti safe.

A24: [SS] There's not enough in here to keep my mind occupied. I'm going a little stir-crazy.

A19: I'm sure everyone appreciates the safety this place affords us. But the complaints are getting out of hand.
A19: [SS] People always said that this room was beautifully illuminated. Me, I'd rather see the sun again.

A22: [SS] Ayuthay grew some of the best fruits in the world. Now I can only dream about eating such tasty treats.

Sanan Grandpa: [SS] King Wo could lead an army but not a country, I guess. Wish I'd known that...a little earlier.

Sanan Grandma: [SS] Oh, what terrible sorrow. Never to have heard from my grandchild again…
[If you use the Grandchild's gift on the grandma's body:]
Sanan Grandma [SS]: ...Oh? Could that be a letter from my granddaughter?
[If the response didn't freak out Matthew enough, her soul rises in the form of her living self and he nearly jumps across the room.]
Sanan Grandma's ghost: Oh, it's like a ray of sunshine in all this gloom!
[Her husband's ghost gets up out of his bones, too.]
Sanan Grandpa's ghost: ...What? A letter? My dear old woman, your sent love has brought us love in return.
Sanan Grandma's ghost: We can finally rest in peace, my dear.
Sanan Grandpa's ghost: Peace at last.
[Their spirits rise up and through the ceiling.]
