------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Belinsk Grave 1: [SS] Why did the ancients make so many machines that can wreck the world...?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Belinsk Grave 2: [SS] What...happened? That...that...tower appears out of nowhere, and there goes Belinsk in a handbasket! I thought King Volechek would keep us safe, but I was terribly, terribly wrong...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Belinsk Grave 3: [SS] Even here, beyond the grave, I still ponder the mystery I spent my life researching: were the people of Morgal back in the age of Alchemy also beastmen?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Belinsk Grave 4: [SS] If this eclipse is as serious as it seems, I imagine we ghosts will have lots of company soon...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Belinsk Opera House
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B16: [SS] Everyone thinks Crystallux is just a myth, but I believe it's real. And if it is real, I believe that beautiful music will make it appear, just as the legend says.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Young Woman: [SS] Everyone laughs, but I'm certain that the crystal dragon exists. Grampa said that someday we'd meet him, together.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[NOTE: Their regular dialogue hasn't changed]
Belinsk
[If you try to leave town:]
Ryu Kou: Hey! Are you forgetting about my sister, Hou Ju?
Matthew: [Yes]
Ryu Kou: If you haven't forgotten, why are you trying to leave town before we've found her?
--------------------------
Matthew: [No]
Ryu Kou: You forgot?! What kind of mental lapse could possibly explain that?!
(*Continuing*)
Ryu Kou: I can't believe you would try to leave without helping my sister... Time to get looking!
[NOTE: Yeah, apparently this is like choosing to ride back to Kalay with Hammet and something in the translation process made this seem backwards...]
[Outside:]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B01: Y-You saw it, right? Something came up from under the museum. Something big!
B01: [SS] My fur is all tingly and standing on end! I never thought I'd see a museum shoot into the air like that!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B02: I was all relaxed after hearing "Arangoa Prelude," and then I saw the tower. Now my heart is pounding!
B02: [SS] Is it the tower's beauty that gives me chills, or is it something else?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B03: After hearing "Arangoa Prelude," I feel sort of dreamy... Wait...that tower wasn't there before, was it...?
B03: [SS] "Arangoa Prelude" just makes my head swim. I feel like I'm drowning in musical beauty!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B04: Everyone was getting impatient for the execution, then THAT appeared and we all forgot about it...
B04: [SS] I can't believe how tall that tower is! It's kind of ominous...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B06: Yep... Ancient Belinsk construction—I'm sure of it. Don't know what it's for, but probably an amazing weapon.
B06: [SS] I thought the trembling was an earthquake at first... How will I get to the museum now?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B07: Why was there a tower under the museum? And how did it come out?
B07: [SS] Luna Tower is real?! And it was under the museum?!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B08: Is this what we've been praying for? Have the Belinsk ruins been restored?
B08: [SS] I've been hearing about Luna Tower since I was a child, but who knew it was real?! How exciting!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B09: Can you see me shaking?
Matthew: [Yes]
B09: I'm not frightened or anything... just excited about what this means for Belinsk. That's all.
--------------------------
Matthew: [No]
B09: Of course not. I'm a businessman, and I'm not about to get flustered by minor distractions!
B09: [SS] I can hardly look at that tower without shaking. Something bad is about to happen... I wonder if that's what you call "animal instinct."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Piano: That's it. We're only playing current music from now on.
Piano: [SS] I just thought it was everyone's favorite song, not an architectural technique!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bass: Strange things always happen when we play that song, but this... This is new.
Bass: [SS] It's probably just a coincidence that the tower came up right after the song ended... Probably.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Trumpet: That tower can't just have appeared because we played "Arangoa Prelude," can it?
Trumpet: [SS] Is that tower really from an ancient civilization? They sure did things differently back then...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Vande: It's thanks to you that I came back to Belinsk and got to witness this miracle. Thank you.
Vande: [SS] What's that funny feeling in my stomach? Is that excitement? Or...fear?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Violin: This is a sign. The tower's restoration means that miracle will happen...soon.
Violin: [SS] I never thought they'd bring the tower back! The city's really gone all out for this festival!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Drums: "Arangoa Prelude" is supposed to date back to the ancient Belinsk civilization, just like that tower...
Drums: [SS] Looking at the tower gives me the same chills as hearing "Arangoa Prelude." I think they're linked.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Inside:]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Beastman Granny: Everyone seems really lively tonight, even for an execution day. Where do they get the energy?
Beastman Granny: [SS] What is going on outside? It's so noisy, how am I supposed to sleep?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Beastman Gramps: [SS] Bah. I'm going to have to clean up that mess in the morning...
[noting this first because yes, he IS already thinking this.]
[The old man gets up if you try speaking to him]
Beastman Gramps: [off-screen] Waaaah?! *crash*
[He comes back to bed]
Beastman Gramps: I probably shouldn't try to drink tea while half-asleep anymore...
-Onward!-
Beastman Gramps: Zzzzzz...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Checking the pot on the table:]
Text: There's nothing here of interest.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Inn:]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B05: Our ancestors' civilization is reborn! What a blessing for Belinsk and beastmen everywhere!
B05: [SS] Luna Tower has returned! Glory to Morgal!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Belinsk Innkeeper: [SS] These warriors are barely more than children, but they've obviously seen more than their share of battle.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B10: Another new day... But can I get a little more rest before it starts for real?
B10: [SS] I'm too old for this "staying up until all hours" thing these days. I need to sit the next festival out...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Weapon/Armor Shop:]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B11: Uh, you guys can see the big tower over there, right?
Matthew: [Yes]
B11: Then it IS real! We've been praying for the ruins' restoration so long, I thought it might be a hallucination.
--------------------------
Matthew: [No]
B11: Oh...you can't? I guess that means it IS a hallucination. Disappointing.
B11: [SS] So that's Luna Tower? It's so much more impressive than it sounded in the fairy tales!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Belinsk Armor Seller: [SS] That noise from outside was horrendous! What could be going on out there?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Belinsk Weapon Seller: [SS] I can't believe they'd cancel the boiling and open up the castle just because ONE stupid tower appears!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Item Shop:]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Belinsk Item Seller: [SS] I can't believe how many people are around at this hour! I guess festivals make people more...festive.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Healer's Place:]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B12: I wonder if the human beastmen have finally calmed down. They're just little bundles of energy every month!
B12: [SS] Those human-born beastmen are just crazy under the full moon! I hope nothing bad ever comes of it...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Belinsk Healer: [SS] That divine light! I don't think I've ever seen anything so wonderful!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B17: I just don't know what to make of the giant tower thing. If it turns out to be an enemy weapon of some sort, we're in big, big trouble.
B17: [SS] Why is everyone so sure that a mysterious tower popping out of the ground is a GOOD sign?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Docks Entrance:]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B13: It's waaaay past my bedtime, but I'm not even a little sleepy! Yay, festival!
B13: [SS] Festival, music, towers popping out of the ground... This is the best day ever!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B14: I really wanted to see the boiling... I guess I should feel lucky that I got to see something. Meh.
B14: [SS] Something smells wrong about all this. I should know—I've got the best nose in the kingdom!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Castle:]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Beastman Guard 1: My orders are to let you pass. Please head on in.
Beastman Guard 1: [SS] If I let people I don't know into the castle, am I still technically a guard?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Beastman Guard 2: The masked man whom the king favors ordered us to let you pass. How do you know him?
Beastman Guard 2: [SS] I hope the masked man knows what he's doing. If it were up to me, I wouldn't let these guys in.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Belinsk Castle
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B18: By order of the great masked warrior, you are allowed into the castle. Be grateful he deemed you worthy.
B18: [SS] Why does the masked warrior find THEM so interesting? What's so special about them?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B19: Many apologies, sirs and madams, but only the king is allowed into this area.
B19: [SS] One look at the floor should let everyone know this is the king's private spot. Can these people not remember they are common visitors to the home of a king?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B20: I don't know where you're going, but this isn't the way there. Go back and find the right way.
B20: [SS] Just because you're allowed in the gate doesn't mean you get to go everywhere you want, intruders...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B21: I don't know how that tower appeared, but I'll bet King Volechek is somehow responsible. He is a remarkable leader.
B21: [SS] I don't understand. The king said the tower would let Morgal live without fear, but he looked deathly pale just now...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B22: The ones you want are at the ends of these two halls. If you want to rescue the little girl first, head right.
B22: [SS] With so many visitors lately, I'm not sure who I'm supposed to be guarding the castle FROM.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B23: I have never seen people so mad about the cancellation of a boiling! There could have been a riot. Now that we can't execute him, would you just get the guy out of here? He's an eyesore.
B23: [SS] The festival just isn't the festival without a good boiling. Everybody is really disappointed...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B24: The man we were going to boil? He's quite well. I try to take good care of our prisoners.
B24: [SS] What sort of people go to great lengths to rescue a worthless pirate?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B25: I wouldn't walk around in here too much... You might run into the king and his foul mood.
B25: [SS] I hear those strange people that came to rescue the princess also rescued the pirate. Who ARE they?
[If you try to go up the stairs by the maid before rescuing Hou Ju:]
B25: I don't want to tell you your job, but isn't it traditional to rescue the princess before the pirate?
Matthew: [Yes]
B25: Then you'll need to start in the cells over there. What are you waiting for, a white horse to ride up on?
--------------------------
Matthew: [No]
B25: Well, if you want to save the criminal scum first, this is the right place. But I can't say I support your decision.
-Onward!-
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[If you go toward Eoleo first anyway:]
Ryu Kou: Matthew, you wouldn't really help the sea thug before saving Hou Ju, would you?
Matthew: [Yes]
Ryu Kou: Are you insane?! Look, I can't stop you, but I do question your priorities and judgment.
-Onward!-
[Contrary to what he said, Ryu Kou CAN stop you because he asks the same question every time you try to proceed.]
--------------------------
Matthew: [No]
Ryu Kou: Whew! Well, then we need to take that path over there to where Hou Ju is!
-Onward!-
[When you take the path and reach Hou Ju's cell:]
Hou Zan: Young one, look!
Hou Ju: Wh-who's there?
Ryu Kou: Hou Ju...
Hou Ju: Ryu Kou? Is it really you?
Hou Zan: I assure you it is. And we are here to rescue you, my lady.
Hou Ju: That voice... Hou Zan! I'm so glad you're here!
Ryu Kou: Now we just have to break open this lock somehow...
???: Do not trouble yourselves. I will be happy to open it for you.
[A beastman has appeared behind them.]
Sveta: M-my dear brother!
Matthew: ?!
Karis: Brother?
Tyrell: But I thought Sveta's brother...
Rief: ...was Volechek. Yes.
Amiti: King Volechek?
Sveta: Wh-why are you here?
Volechek: Why so nervous, little sister? I won't bite. I just heard that you'd activated my tower, and I came to thank you.
[He's met with frowns.]
Volechek: It hurts me that you don't believe anything I've said. Perhaps this will convince you of my sincerity?
[Volechek walks over to the cell door and opens and unlocks it.]
Tyrell: Hmph. Maybe he is telling the truth.
Rief: Quiet. He'll hear.
[Hou Ju exits the cell]
Hou Ju: Ryu Kou...
Ryu Kou: Hou Ju...
Hou Zan: My lady...
???: [off-screen] Ah, a lovely and touching reunion...
[Matthew and Karis look surprised.]
???: [off-screen] Still, I imagine Eoleo would appreciate it if you'd wrap things up and release him.
Volecheck: Who are you?
Rief: I'd know that voice anywhere...
???: [off-screen] I'm glad it's not been so long that you've forgotten me. Hopefully you remember your lessons as well.
[Kraden enters.]
Kraden: I'm sorry it took me so long to get here. I hope you haven't been waiting around for me.
Rief: Good to see you again, sir.
Kraden: The sentiment is quite mutual, Rief. You look well.
Volechek: Kraden, was it? Your name is familiar... Have we met before?
Kraden: Ah, greetings, King Volechek. I am Kraden, scholar of Alchemy. During your father's reign, I had the pleasure—
Volechek: Of course, Master Kraden! I remember now. You once visited my father along with the Warriors of Vale.
Kraden: Yes, your father was a great help to us in obtaining a Mountain Roc feather.
Volechek: My father had great respect for skilled warriors. He spoke of your visit often and with great warmth. Not surprising, given that it gave him the chance to meet perhaps the greatest warriors in the world.
Kraden: I was greatly saddened to hear of the former king and queen's deaths. I grieve for your loss.
Volechek: Thank you. It was a terrible blow. ...But where are my manners? I have not greeted your friends.
Kraden: My apologies. I should have introduced the heirs of the Warriors of Vale.
Volechek: Is that so? My associates didn't mention that they were of such august lineage...
Kraden: I'll wager there's much more that they have neglected to tell you.
Volechek: Indeed? Would you elaborate?
Kraden: To start with, there is the Eclipse Tower.
Volecheck: So you know Luna Tower's original name. You are indeed well versed in ancient lore.
Kraden: Enough to know its other epithet, "the hungering place." And to know that activating it was a tragic error.
Volechek: That is enough! This country suffered under foreign rule for 10 long years. Morgal has no choice but to arm itself. Only with the power of the ancients can we subjugate Sana and Bilibin before they return us to slavery.
Sveta: But why ally yourself with those foul Tuaparang?
Volechek: No more questions! This audience is over. Your pirate friend is in the cell across the way. Take him and be gone.
[He goes out the door.]
Sveta: Volechek...
Kraden: Miss...Sveta, was it? Your brother is much deceived. That tower is not a weapon...at least not in the sense he believes.
Sveta: Then what is its purpose?
Kraden: Unfortunately, a full explanation would take more time than we have. Suffice to say the tower is no weapon.
Karis: Excuse me, Kraden? If I may ask, what took you so long?
Kraden: Regrettably, that explanation will also have to wait. Let's rescue Eoleo and be on our way. I note three Sanans I don't know. Are they part of your group now, Matthew?
Hou Zan: Not really. We're really just tagging along, sir.
Ryu Kou: We needed Matthew's help in order to save my sister.
Kraden: Good. If your goal has already been accomplished, I suggest you flee Belinsk at once.
Matthew: !!
Karis: But why, Kraden?
Tyrell: Yeah, are they suddenly in danger or something?
Rief: Flee Belinsk...?
Amiti: Why must they leave?
Sveta: Please, Kraden, explain.
Kraden: Activating Luna Tower was a terrible mistake, and one that will likely bring calamity to the world. This is primarily my instinct speaking, but that tower closely resembles the Elemental Lighthouses. And when those lighthouses were activated, the consequences were disastrous and far reaching. You three don't appear to be Adepts. In the disaster I fear, you would likely not survive.
Ryu Kou: Be that as it may, I've decided to follow Matthew through any danger to repay him for his help.
Rief: Ryu Kou, we all appreciate your sense of honor, but listen to Kraden. This could be a fatal mistake.
Sveta: And you've only just reunited with your sister. If you part ways again, imagine the worry she'll feel.
Tyrell: Our job right now is to deal with this tower thing. Your job is to protect your sister.
Karis: Ryu Kou, we haven't worked to reunite you with your sister so you can throw your life away now.
Hou Zan: We are in debt to all of you.
[Ryu Kou and Hou Ju leave.]
Hou Zan: I wish it could be otherwise... but farewell.
[Hou Zan leaves.]
Kraden: Now, let's go get Eoleo out of his cell.
Rief: Kraden, you should know... We were involved in the tower's activation...
Kraden: Thank you for your honesty, but I believe you bear less blame than you might think. I've suspected for some time that someone has been manipulating you and your actions.
Karis: Really? Who?
Kraden: I refer to that masked man you've encountered several times now.
Tyrell: Oh, you mean that scum Arcanus!
Kraden: Arcanus? Is that what he’s calling himself now? Why would he choose that name...? ...Of course. Now it makes sense. Very droll. Naturally, if he's going to associate with the Tuaparang... Ah, forgive me. I was lost in thought, but we really mustn't dawdle any longer. Eoleo's cell should be located on the other side of the castle. We must go with all haste!
-Onward!-
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B18: "Leave Belinsk as fast as I can"? Why would I want to do that? Can't you see I'm on duty?
B18: [SS] Three Sanans left here in a hurry. Probably worried about being captured again. Cowards.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B19: King Volechek told us to leave the castle at once. I think he wants us out of the way to make more messes.
B19: [SS] I'm sure humans are nice and all, but how do they stand the way they smell?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B20: How could a tower cause some great catastrophe? Listen to what you're saying, friend.
B20: [SS] Don't even think about trying to do something suspicious while I'm on duty!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B21: Pardon me, but have you seen the king? I can't seem to locate him anywhere...
B21: [SS] The king looked most unsettled just now as he passed. Where was he heading?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B22: I must not have heard you right. Did you just tell me to flee Belinsk?
Matthew: [Yes]
B22: Huh. No, I don't think I'm gonna do that. Now move along.
--------------------------
Matthew: [No]
B22: Oh. Well, OK then. Must have been my imagination.
B22: [SS] I don't like all these pirate scum and friends of pirate scum prowling around...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B23: A terrible disaster coming? Tell me another one, kids.
B23: [SS] What, they never seen a castle before? Time to take your grimy friend and get out of here, kids.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B24: King Volechek has a, shall we say, volatile temper. You'd best conclude your business and leave.
B24: [SS] The king a man of his word; so the pirate will be allowed to leave unharmed. But if he ever threatens Morgal again...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B25: These night shifts are killing me! I can hardly wait for daybreak so I can go home to bed...
B25: [SS] It's hard to get any work done with all these visitors tromping around. When will they leave?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B26: The pirate has strange powers of some sort. We had to tie him up outside to keep him put.
[We're shown Eoleo hanging in his cage, struggling to get out.]
B26: You'd be amazed at how being strung up like a piece of meat takes the fight out of you.
[When you talk to him again:]
B26: I was told that the pirate has strange powers, so we tied him up for safety.
B26: [SS] Why did they cancel the boiling of that ill-mannered pirate? He really does need a good boiling...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B27: Dawn will be coming soon... I guess this festival is almost over...
B27: [SS] The festival's always a good time... Pity they had to start on that down note by canceling the boiling...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Eoleo is hanging in a cage outside.]
Eoleo: Get me down from here!
[Slap Psynergy is used. The cage starts to rock violently and falls.]
Eoleo: Waaaaah!
[It hits the ground.]
Eoleo: Ouch!
[The party heads down and Eoleo gets up.]
Eoleo: So this is the part where I'm supposed to thank you guys?
Tyrell: Yeah, I think it is—since you're all not-boiled right now.
Eoleo: Would my saying thanks make you feel good about yourself? Like a big boy?
Amiti: I knew saving a pirate was a waste of our time.
Eoleo: Lemme guess... you're from Ayuthay, right?
Amiti: Yes. Why?
Eoleo: Nothin'. I just never saw an Ayuthay wear real clothes before.
Amiti: Are you TRYING to start a fight, you despicable thug?
Kraden: That is enough! We don't have the luxury of arguing right now. Our world needs us.
Eoleo: Y-you...
Karis: Do you actually know Kraden?
Eoleo: You were with the Warriors of Vale! I'll always remember that.
Kraden: I am truly impressed. You were but a toddler when we last met!
Eoleo: And that face... It's been 30 years, but you look exactly the same... How?
[Everyone stares at Kraden.]
Kraden: You should know that it's not polite to stare at the elderly.
Eoleo: Seriously, though—can anyone tell me why he looks exactly the same?
Karis: Apparently something about the Golden Sun kept Kraden and the Warriors of Vale from getting old...er.
Eoleo: If that's true, I gotta say I'm a little jealous.
Kraden: Don't be. It's true that I don't age, but it's not quite as glamorous as it sounds.
Tyrell: Yeah, it must stink to get to live forever after you're already super old.
Kraden: That's enough about me. We need to get out of Belinsk as soon as possible.
Eoleo: Not that I want to stay or anything, but what's the rush?
[The sun rises...and is eclipsed. Dark energy radiates out of the tower.]
Kraden: Luna will soon blot out Sol entirely.
Matthew: ?!
Karis: And what will happen then?
Tyrell: Wow...
Rief: What is that energy coming off the tower?
Amiti: The sun is being swallowed up by the moon...
Sveta: This can't be connected...
Kraden: Matthew, we need to get to the pier immediately!
-Onward!-
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B18: Did you hear all those horrible screams coming from out in front of the castle?
Matthew: [Yes]
B18: Disturbing, weren't they? The king rode into town with his guards the second he heard the commotion.
--------------------------
Matthew: [No]
B18: You didn't hear it at all? Any of it? You humans have such terrible ears, it's a wonder you hear anything.
B18: [SS] The screams outside sure sound like a battle, but who could be attacking the very heart of Morgal?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B19: What are those groaning sounds coming from outside? Why would anyone want to sound so creepy?
B19: [SS] I wonder if those sounds are the groans of the ghosts of all the soldiers lost in our wars...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B20: My gut says something weird is happening in the city... I wonder if I should leave my post.
B20: [SS] What's wrong with me? Why am I sweating so much? Something to do with the commotion outside?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B21: There's a strange noise coming from outside... Something that doesn't sound like man or beast...
B21: [SS] There are always odd sounds in the castle, but the noises tonight bother me for some reason...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B22: Did you just get a chill up your spine? I've got this overpowering urge to go outside...
B22: [SS] Remember your training... Don't worry about the horrible sounds outside... Your training...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B23: Once we've got all you visitors out of the castle, I'm going home to check on my family.
B23: [SS] I've never heard screams like that before... Should I go outside and see? Or should I wait for orders?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B24: It's good to see King Volechek and his soldiers helping the people, but now the castle is almost unguarded...
B24: [SS] I wish King Volechek was here. Having the greatest warrior in Morgal nearby would be comforting.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B25: I was going to go home at first light...but I think I'll stay in the castle for a while longer.
B25: [SS] I can feel every hair on my body standing on end... Something is about to happen...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[When you exit the castle from the front:]
Sveta: Ha... Ahh...
Kraden: What's wrong, Sveta?
[She uses Spirit Sense.]
Sveta: My Spirit Sense Psynergy is activating itself...without my will. Brother...
Kraden: Volechek...?
[We see Volechek and four soldiers about to enter the Opera House.]
Volechek: You say the creatures are in here?
Morgal Soldier 3: Yes, Your Majesty. We just managed to corral them inside.
Volechek: Then why is it so quiet? You are quite certain they are still in here?
Morgal Soldier 2: Y-yes, sire. After the monsters attacked our citizens, we drove them in here.
Morgal Soldier 1: It was a vicious battle, my liege. Many men were wounded.
Morgal Soldier 4: It's almost a miracle that we were able to corner them, but we did it in the end.
Volechek: I see. Thank you for your heroic efforts, gentlemen. You have done well. Still, the silence disturbs me... How can so many creatures not make any noise at all? Have they somehow fled without our noticing?
Morgal Soldier 3: Highly unlikely, sire. An ant couldn't squeeze through the perimeter we've established.
[Volechek opens the doors.]
Morgal Soldier 3: Your Majesty?
Morgal Soldier 1: Sire, please! Don't go in. It's too dangerous!
Morgal Soldier 4: What are you doing?! ...Er, Your Majesty?!
Volechek: You may stay here if you lack the courage to follow me in.
[He heads inside, tentatively followed by the soldiers. They get into the auditorium.]
Morgal Soldier 2: King Volechek, I...
Volechek: Silence! ...Listen. Is that...a violin? No... It's an entire string section...
Morgal Soldier 2: I hear it!
Morgal Soldier 3: Yeah...
Morgal Soldier 1: They're just...playing music?
Morgal Soldier 4: It's pretty...
Volechek: This feels wrong...
[There’s a sound of a door closing.]
Morgal Soldier 1: Th-the door!
Volechek: And now the brass section joins in... The curtains are about to open. Weapons at the ready, men!
[As the curtains open, we see monsters behind them.]
Sveta: Stop!
[The picture goes back to in front of the castle.]
Kraden: What happened just now? Sveta...
[She has her hands to her head.]
Kraden: Sveta.
[She still doesn't respond.]
Kraden: Sveta!
Matthew: !!
Kraden: Sveta, are you all right?
Sveta: I...I think so.
Kraden: That image of King Volechek—did you conjure that?
Sveta: Image? You mean you saw what's happening at the opera house too?
[Matthew and Kraden nod.]
Kraden: You think Volechek sent you that image? Maybe he's asking for your help. Matthew! We need to get to the opera house with all haste!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B16: [SS] Everyone thinks Crystallux is just a myth, but I believe it's real. And if it is real, I believe that beautiful music will make it appear, just as the legend says.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Young Woman: [SS] Everyone laughs, but I'm certain that the crystal dragon exists. Grampa said that someday we'd meet him, together.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[NOTE: Their regular dialogue hasn't changed]
[If you try to leave town:]
Ryu Kou: Hey! Are you forgetting about my sister, Hou Ju?
Matthew: [Yes]
Ryu Kou: If you haven't forgotten, why are you trying to leave town before we've found her?
--------------------------
Matthew: [No]
Ryu Kou: You forgot?! What kind of mental lapse could possibly explain that?!
(*Continuing*)
Ryu Kou: I can't believe you would try to leave without helping my sister... Time to get looking!
[NOTE: Yeah, apparently this is like choosing to ride back to Kalay with Hammet and something in the translation process made this seem backwards...]
[Outside:]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B01: Y-You saw it, right? Something came up from under the museum. Something big!
B01: [SS] My fur is all tingly and standing on end! I never thought I'd see a museum shoot into the air like that!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B02: I was all relaxed after hearing "Arangoa Prelude," and then I saw the tower. Now my heart is pounding!
B02: [SS] Is it the tower's beauty that gives me chills, or is it something else?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B03: After hearing "Arangoa Prelude," I feel sort of dreamy... Wait...that tower wasn't there before, was it...?
B03: [SS] "Arangoa Prelude" just makes my head swim. I feel like I'm drowning in musical beauty!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B04: Everyone was getting impatient for the execution, then THAT appeared and we all forgot about it...
B04: [SS] I can't believe how tall that tower is! It's kind of ominous...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B06: Yep... Ancient Belinsk construction—I'm sure of it. Don't know what it's for, but probably an amazing weapon.
B06: [SS] I thought the trembling was an earthquake at first... How will I get to the museum now?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B07: Why was there a tower under the museum? And how did it come out?
B07: [SS] Luna Tower is real?! And it was under the museum?!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B08: Is this what we've been praying for? Have the Belinsk ruins been restored?
B08: [SS] I've been hearing about Luna Tower since I was a child, but who knew it was real?! How exciting!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B09: Can you see me shaking?
Matthew: [Yes]
B09: I'm not frightened or anything... just excited about what this means for Belinsk. That's all.
--------------------------
Matthew: [No]
B09: Of course not. I'm a businessman, and I'm not about to get flustered by minor distractions!
B09: [SS] I can hardly look at that tower without shaking. Something bad is about to happen... I wonder if that's what you call "animal instinct."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Piano: That's it. We're only playing current music from now on.
Piano: [SS] I just thought it was everyone's favorite song, not an architectural technique!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bass: Strange things always happen when we play that song, but this... This is new.
Bass: [SS] It's probably just a coincidence that the tower came up right after the song ended... Probably.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Trumpet: That tower can't just have appeared because we played "Arangoa Prelude," can it?
Trumpet: [SS] Is that tower really from an ancient civilization? They sure did things differently back then...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Vande: It's thanks to you that I came back to Belinsk and got to witness this miracle. Thank you.
Vande: [SS] What's that funny feeling in my stomach? Is that excitement? Or...fear?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Violin: This is a sign. The tower's restoration means that miracle will happen...soon.
Violin: [SS] I never thought they'd bring the tower back! The city's really gone all out for this festival!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Drums: "Arangoa Prelude" is supposed to date back to the ancient Belinsk civilization, just like that tower...
Drums: [SS] Looking at the tower gives me the same chills as hearing "Arangoa Prelude." I think they're linked.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Inside:]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Beastman Granny: Everyone seems really lively tonight, even for an execution day. Where do they get the energy?
Beastman Granny: [SS] What is going on outside? It's so noisy, how am I supposed to sleep?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Beastman Gramps: [SS] Bah. I'm going to have to clean up that mess in the morning...
[noting this first because yes, he IS already thinking this.]
[The old man gets up if you try speaking to him]
Beastman Gramps: [off-screen] Waaaah?! *crash*
[He comes back to bed]
Beastman Gramps: I probably shouldn't try to drink tea while half-asleep anymore...
-Onward!-
Beastman Gramps: Zzzzzz...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Checking the pot on the table:]
Text: There's nothing here of interest.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Inn:]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B05: Our ancestors' civilization is reborn! What a blessing for Belinsk and beastmen everywhere!
B05: [SS] Luna Tower has returned! Glory to Morgal!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Belinsk Innkeeper: [SS] These warriors are barely more than children, but they've obviously seen more than their share of battle.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B10: Another new day... But can I get a little more rest before it starts for real?
B10: [SS] I'm too old for this "staying up until all hours" thing these days. I need to sit the next festival out...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Weapon/Armor Shop:]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B11: Uh, you guys can see the big tower over there, right?
Matthew: [Yes]
B11: Then it IS real! We've been praying for the ruins' restoration so long, I thought it might be a hallucination.
--------------------------
Matthew: [No]
B11: Oh...you can't? I guess that means it IS a hallucination. Disappointing.
B11: [SS] So that's Luna Tower? It's so much more impressive than it sounded in the fairy tales!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Belinsk Armor Seller: [SS] That noise from outside was horrendous! What could be going on out there?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Belinsk Weapon Seller: [SS] I can't believe they'd cancel the boiling and open up the castle just because ONE stupid tower appears!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Item Shop:]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Belinsk Item Seller: [SS] I can't believe how many people are around at this hour! I guess festivals make people more...festive.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Healer's Place:]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B12: I wonder if the human beastmen have finally calmed down. They're just little bundles of energy every month!
B12: [SS] Those human-born beastmen are just crazy under the full moon! I hope nothing bad ever comes of it...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Belinsk Healer: [SS] That divine light! I don't think I've ever seen anything so wonderful!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B17: I just don't know what to make of the giant tower thing. If it turns out to be an enemy weapon of some sort, we're in big, big trouble.
B17: [SS] Why is everyone so sure that a mysterious tower popping out of the ground is a GOOD sign?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Docks Entrance:]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B13: It's waaaay past my bedtime, but I'm not even a little sleepy! Yay, festival!
B13: [SS] Festival, music, towers popping out of the ground... This is the best day ever!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B14: I really wanted to see the boiling... I guess I should feel lucky that I got to see something. Meh.
B14: [SS] Something smells wrong about all this. I should know—I've got the best nose in the kingdom!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Castle:]
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Beastman Guard 1: My orders are to let you pass. Please head on in.
Beastman Guard 1: [SS] If I let people I don't know into the castle, am I still technically a guard?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Beastman Guard 2: The masked man whom the king favors ordered us to let you pass. How do you know him?
Beastman Guard 2: [SS] I hope the masked man knows what he's doing. If it were up to me, I wouldn't let these guys in.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
B18: By order of the great masked warrior, you are allowed into the castle.
